SHILLONG: The State Government has once again affected a minor reshuffle in the police department besides some police personnel have also been promoted.
A notification issued recently stated that NK Subramanyam has been transferred as Inspector General of Police ( Special Branch/ Border) against the existing vacancy .
Similarly, AR Mawthoh and SS Kynjing have been promoted to officiate in the Inspector General of Police of the Super Time Scale in the level 14 of the pay matrix.
On promotion, Mawthoh has been posted as the Inspector General of Police –Commandant General, Home Guards while Kynjing has been posted as Inspector General of Police (Headquarters & Administration).
Similarly, four other officers including R Muthu, Dalton P Marak,Debangshu D Sangma and H Toi have been promoted to officiate in the Deputy Inspector General of Police.
While Muthu has been allowed proforma promotion, Dalton has been posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (Training).
Debangshu D Sangma has been posted as the Deputy Inspector General of Police( Administration) while on promotion, H Toi have been posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (Traffic).
Two officers Jagpal Singh Dhanoa and Shailendra Bamaniya have been promoted and while Dhanoa has been posted as Additional Superintendent of Police , SF 10, Bamaniya has been posted as Deputy Commandant, 6th MLP Battalion, Umran.
