Traffic arrangement for New Year celebration

JOWAI: Police have made traffic arrangements for the New Year celebrations at Iawmusiang.
A statement in this regard said that in order to facilitate the peaceful conduct of the New Year celebrations at Iawmusiang, considering the convenience of the public and safety of all participants, the Superintendent of Police, West Jaintia Hills, Jowai, has formulated the traffic arrangements and complementary regulations thereto which will be applied as and when the celebration commences.
There is no entry for vehicles coming towards Iawmusiang.
“No vehicle shall be allowed to enter towards Iawmusiang from New Hill Point, Kynruhsohphlang, Wah Nangbah Point and DC Point on the arrival of the processions and their assemblage at Iawmusiang”, the police said . 
One lead vehicle (with mounted music systems) will be allowed to enter Iawmusiang for each procession and no additional vehicular entourages will be entertained
Strict vigilance will be maintained to keep a check on drivers / persons who create public nuisance, driving under the influence of alcohol, over speeding and dangerous driving. 
The SP wanted strict adherence to the rules for public good.
“Violators will be penalised as per law”, the SP said
