SHILLONG: A local show on the culture and traditions practised by the people of Wahkhen will be showcased on January 8 at Wahkhen from 11 am onwards.
Local MLA of Mawphlang, SK Sun, will be attending the programme.
The programme is organised by Sieng Riti Institute, Wahkhen in order to collect and document the traditional art forms of music and practice in a visible and written memo which will also be used for research.
The secretary of the institute, Snar S Malngiang said that the people who are interested to know more and see the traditional arts and local culture, Khasi traditional music, students, research scholars, individuals, and others can attend and witness the cultural extravaganza.
