SHILLONG: Meghalaya Cabinet on Monday finalised the names of the VIPs who will take the salute during the Republic Day celebrations on January 26.
Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong after the meeting on Monday said that the Governor as per the tradition will take the salute in Shillong.
Transport Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar will take the salute in Nongstoin while PWD Minister Comingone Ymbon will do it in Nongpoh.
Tynsong will take the salute in Tura while Social Welfare Minister Kyrmen Shylla will do it in Williamnagar and Cabinet Minister Brolding Nongsiej in Baghmara.
In Resubelpara, Education Minister Lakhmen Rymbuiwill take the salute and Banteidor Lyngdoh in Mawkyrwat. Hamlet Dohling will take the salute in Ampati while Samlin Malngiang will be in Khliehriat, while Health Minister AL Hek will take the salute in Mairang and Home Minister James Sangma in Sohra.
