SHILLONG: Singer Gabriel Mawlong was so close yet so far to win the India Talent Fight, after reaching the semi finals. He could not make it through the finals expressed gratitude to the people who sponsored him.
Addressing a press conference, he said that he also took part in Indian Idol and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa but did not get through the two shows.
He thanked most of the MLAs and MDCs, avenues, Aroha choir, KSU Upper Shillong, Fenela Nonglait, Donbok Marbaniang, Amit Paul and All Meghalaya Dancers Association.
His mother said that he was interested in dancing as a child but switched to singing when he saw Amit Paul on Indian Idol and was inspired to take up singing and took part in San Mer week.
