SHILLONG: The celebration of the 10th National Voters’ Day at Sohra Civil Sub-Division will be held on January 25 at Sohra government college. As part of the celebration, the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (El), Sohra Civil Sub-Division will be organising a marathon- ‘Run for Democracy’ for both male and female.
The marathon will be flagged off at 7 am from the Office of the SDO. Further, there will also be a Phawar competition (open to all) at Sohra government college from 9.30 am.
An official statement in this regard said for registration and further inquiries, interested participants can visit the Election Branch at the Office of the SDO on or before January 23 during office hours.
The participants will have to produce their birth certificates (for those below 18 years of age) and EPIC cards (for those above 18 years).
