SHILLONG:Director General of Border Security Force (BSF), UK Bansal, on Friday said investigation in the alleged sacrifice of a seven-year-old child in the BSF headquarters in Praharinagar, Tura is still under progress.

Bansal informed that the case is being investigated by the Crime Branch, even as he hoped that the investigation would be over soon.

A seven-year-old child, Krishna Singh, son of Kamal Singh, a water carrier of the 121 Battalion of BSF was allegedly killed inside the BSF headquarters in Tura last year.

Without categorically revealing the status of the investigation, Bansal said that there were some missing links in the case which are being looked into.

Two BSF jawans and a Tantrik based in Assam had been arrested for their suspected involvement in the murder and a court of inquiry had been instituted to investigate the case.
