Fake currency racketeer apprehended

 Shillong: One Bangladeshi Fake Indian Currency Note (FICN) racketeer, Dulal Miya (35) was apprehended by BSF from West Khasi Hills while he was trying to infiltrate into India from Bangladesh on Sunday.

On search, the party recovered high quality of FICN with a face value of Rs. 15,000 (Denomination 1000×7 and 500×16) and one mobile phone with two Bangladeshi SIM cards. In another incident, BSF troops deployed in East Khasi Hills seized 20 numbers of cattle worth Rs 4, 00,000 while they were being smuggled into Bangladesh on Saturday. The troops also seized 10 country boats, liquor, wooden logs and other contraband items of the estimated value of Rs. 15, 10,000 during the last week.
