Rs 100 cr for Byrnihat railway

SHILLONG: The Railway Budget 2020-21 has projected the construction of Teteliya-Byrnihat BG railway line project (21.5 km). The budget has allocated Rs 100 crore for the construction of the rail line. Earlier, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) could not proceed with the construction due to opposition from the pressure groups as they wanted an effective mechanism to check influx before executing the project.
