Cong optimistic of winning Delhi assembly elections

‘Most NE residents to vote in favour of party’

NEWDELHI: The Congress is positive that majority of the people of North East residing in Delhi will cast their votes in favour of the party as it stands against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act , 2019 and the National Register of Citizenship (NRC).
Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) North East Cell general secretary Daniel Stone Lyngdoh, said in a statement that he is optimistic that most of the people of North East in Delhi will vote for Congress.
The campaign to Delhi Legislative Assembly with 70 seats came to a close on February 6 and the elections is on Saturday.
The DPCC, North East Cell headed by Kim Hoakip, the All India Mahila Congress Committee (AIMCC) General Secretary, Ramananda Singh, Chairperson of DPCC and Daniel Stone Lyngdoh and others have campaigned for the party.
Lyngdoh said that even though AAP is a very strong party, this time the Congress will perform better by securing a good number of seats.
