6-year-old dies after falling into ring well in Tura

TURA: Tragedy struck a family in Tura when they lost their young six-year-old child who fell into a ring well and died despite getting rescued on Thursday evening.

The incident happened at Gonga Damal locality of Araimile, Tura, when the little boy Elbarth N Marak (6 years) while playing accidentally tripped and fell into the well which was left open and without any safety barriers.

Though an alarm was raised and people from the locality quickly rushed in and brought him out doctors at the Tura civil hospital could not resuscitate him. He was declared dead.

It is worth mentioning that guidelines prohibit any ring or bore well to be left uncovered and it is mandatory to have a safety net or wall around its mouth to prevent accidents from taking place.
