Coal-laden trucks seized
On February 21 around 10 pm, Police detected five trucks (ML-11-2301, ML-04C-5257, ML-04C-1253, ML-11-5687 and ML-11-3099) while illegally transporting coal in violation of NGT order at Umkiang Area, EJH.
On February 20, Police detected three vehicles (AS-01DD-7794, AS-01GC-8581 and NL-02-0135), while illegally transporting coal in violation of NGT order between Kuliang and Malidor, EJH. In this connection, Police apprehended five persons, viz. Abjal Hussain, Nizam Uddin, Altab Hussain, Phranshwaki Suiam and Longkamon Lathong.
On February 19 around 2:30 pm, Police detected one vehicle (UP-7B-CN-7304) driven by Md. Falam (25), while illegally transporting coal in violation of NGT order at Umkiang, EJH.

Assault
Batiplang Warjri lodged a complaint that on Sunday, six unidentified miscreants assaulted him and his friend at 101 Area, Upper Shillong. Later, the miscreants fled away leaving behind one motorcycle (ML-05N-5894).
Ajay Biswa lodged a complaint that on Sunday, two boys assaulted him at 101 Area, Upper Shillong. Later, when his friend came searching for him, the same boys assaulted him, and in order to protect themselves, the complainant and his friend fled away, leaving behind his motorcycle.

Theft
Zaheer Ahmed lodged a complaint that on the Saturday night, unknown miscreant(s) stole battery bank valued around Rs 1,80,000 from a Jio mobile tower at Kherapara Songma, WGH.
DE Pariat lodged a complaint that on Saturday night, unknown miscreant(s) stole 24 battery banks valued around Rs 1,60,000 from Thadlaskein ATC site, WJH.

Cattle seized
On February 21 around 10 am, personnel of E-Coy, 97 Bn., BSF, detected one Tata truck (AS-01GG-3765) driven by Sanu Langwar (20), while transporting 14 head of cattle suspected to be stolen at Sonapur Bridge, EJH.
Inspector Banka Ram, Coy Commander, BSF BOP, Muktapur, WJH, lodged a complaint that on February 6 around 9:45 am, BSF personnel detected 61 head of cattle near BP No. 1284/3-S, WJH. The cattle were kept at BSF BOP, Muktapur, for custody.

Theft bid failed
On February 21 around 3 am, residents of Mawnai Mawkhap village, WKH, apprehended one Phrostar Thabah while he was attempting to steal one Jeep vehicle (ML-05C-3705) from the village. However, his accomplice, later identified as one Rijit Lyngdoh Nonglait, managed to escape.
Fraudulent transaction
Sanjay Lahkar lodged a complaint on February 21 at Khanapara PS (Ri-Bhoi) that on January 3 and 16, unknown miscreant(s) withdrew Rs 10,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively, from his SBI Account.
