Liquor seized
Excise officers of East Khasi Hills managed to arrest 17 persons and seized around 129.530 litres of illicit distilled and 12.675 litres of IMFL during raids in the city in January, a statement here informed.
Campaign
Meghalaya AIDS Control Society in collaboration with the office of the Deputy Commissioners and District Medical & Health Offices will be launch the Family Health Awareness Campaign on March 2 in East Khasi Hills, West Khasi Hills, Nongstoin, Khliehriat CHC, East Jaintia Hills and Conference Hall, District Medical & Health office and West Jaintia Hills, Jowai.
NCC
A two-day conference of all NCC groups of NE region concluded on Friday in the city. Group commanders from Shillong, Guwahati, Tezpur, Imphal, Silchar, Dibrugarh, Kohima and Jorhat attended the conference chaired by Major Genral Bipin Bakshi, VSM , ADG NER Dte.

The route for Power Walk will be from Madan Malki and will culminate at State Central Library, on March 2.
