Zubeen Garg asks people to stay home to stay safe against COVID-19

GUWAHATI: Assam’s popular singer Zubeen Garg has appealed to the people to prefer staying home as much as possible in order to help break the chain of Corona Virus transmission while asking everyone to be remain fully alert on shielding oneself from the virus following all the protocols as prescribed by the Central Health Ministry.
In a Facebook post on Saturday the singer has said: “Hello everyone, this is a humble appeal from my side to all of you reading this post in order to keep yourself and your community safe amidst the outbreak of this global pandemic of Corona Virus, COVID-19. As you all know, this virus spreads through physical transmission, hence, I would like to urge all of you to kindly follow the precautionary instructions given by health authorities.
What can you do?
1. Do not panic.
2. Do not spread rumors.
3. Do not believe in rumors.
4. Use mask and alcohol-based hand sanitizers.
5. If you can’t find any sanitizer, constantly wash your hands with soap and water. ‘
6. Avoid mass gatherings such as parties, meetings, shopping malls etc.
7. Maintain a distance of 1 meter (3 feet) from anyone around you.
8. Report to your doctor immediately after noticing the symptoms such as high fever, cough, running nose, problem in breathing etc.
9. If you have any travel history in last one month outside your locality (not necessarily abroad, but anywhere where positive cases have been confirmed) then report to the health officials.
10. Do not shake hands or make any physical contact. If someone is sneezing near you, go away.
11. Once you safe yourself, make others aware of the disease and the instructions to follow.
And, most importantly, if you can, STAY BACK AT HOME. Be with your family, read books, watch some films, complete your unfinished sleep, take rest, learn to play some new songs. You staying home will break the chain of the virus and strengthen the chain of bonding in your family.”
