UPSC rank holder felicitated

 TURA: The Civil Society, Garobadha has felicitated Ullas Kumar for his outstanding performance in the UPSC Examination in a grand function held at the Garobadha Higher Secondary School, West Garo Hills.

Principal of Garobadha Higher Secondary School, Bestling A Sangma while speaking on the occasion said that Ullas Kumar has not only brought name and fame to Garobadha village but to the whole state with his exceedingly well performance. Kumar secured the 579th rank in the 2011-2012 UPSC Examination.

During his address, Ullas Kumar said that his success was by dint of hard work and sheer determination and he urged all the youngsters of the region to always have a dream of achieving high goals in life.

It may be mentioned that Ullas Kumar is the second candidate from Garobadha to succeed in UPSC Examination after Har Kumar Hajong. Ullas Kumar who was born to a teacher, BN Lal in 1984 at Garobadha studied in the Kendriya Vidyalaya, Khanapara, Guwahati. After completion of XII standard, he got B.Tech degree from Durgapur.
