Ban on sharing misinformation

KHLIEHRIAT: The Deputy Commissioner of East Jaintia Hills has prohibited hosting, displaying, uploading, modifying, publishing, transmitting, updating or sharing any information that may cause panic and public disorder in the society even as the DC informed that various grocery shops have been identified in the district which will open from on Friday for three hours at 10 AM.
In this regard, the District Magistrate FM Dopth has promulgated an order under section 144 CrPC to curb and regulate sharing of such information. The order comes into force with effect from March 26 till March 31.
