SHILLONG: Meghalaya People’s United Front-Mukhayalong Sanshnong unit on Friday said that the organisation will work in tandem with the state government to contain and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Under the leadership of its president Juni Phawa, the organisation prohibits any entry of vehicles or persons into the village.
Informing that Pynthor Sale, Mukhayalong, Mutong, Cham Cham and Lumshyrmit are closed for picnickers, the organisation has warned movement of people and vehicles in the village unnecessarily. Ambulance, water carriers, vehicles carrying essential commodities and those with car passes are exempted, the organisation said in a statement.
Asserting that violators will be handed over to the police, the organisation has also issued stern warning against anyone misusing car passes and ambulance during the lockdown.
Phawa urged the residents of Sanshnong and nearby villages to obey advisories for the betterment of all.
