Meghalaya’s first COVID-19 patient dies

SHILLONG: Meghalaya’s first COVID-19 patient, a doctor at Bethany Hospital died at 2-30 AM on Wednesday. The doctor who used to treat patients at Bethany Hospital units in Shillong and Nongpoh, was tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday.

It happens to be Northeast’s second death due to COVID-19. Earlier, another patient died in Silchar Medical College Hospital in South Assam.
