No shortage of PPE in state: Hek

SHILLONG: Health Minister AL Hek on Thursday asserted that the state has adequate supply of personal protective equipments (PPE) for frontline COVID-19 workers and the government has already begun sending the PPE to different primary health centres and community health centres across the state.
He also stated that shortage of PPE has been reported from Umsning primary health centre and the government will address the concern at the earliest.
Hek said that the government has decided to allot 150 PPE to each of the PHCs and CHCs in the state.
The Health minister further stated that the newly acquired 25 ambulances will be handed over to GVK EMRI 108 service after the process of appointment and training of the pilots is completed.
