Mumbai: First time director Bela Sehgal has managed to pull off a spoof on Karan Johar’s “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” by making actors Boman Irani and Farah Khan pose just the way Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol did for the 1998 blockbuster.

The latest poster of “Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi” features Boman and Farah in Shah Rukh-Kajol’s cool and casual avatar and Karan is taking the spoof in good spirits.

“I never thought 14 to 15 years later, I will have to see these visuals again,” Karan said here on the sidelines of the launch of second poster of “Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi”.

The first poster of the movie featured Boman and Farah in a pose similar to that of Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit in the “Hum Aapke Hain Koun” poster.

“I think that is fantastic and I truly believe that Farah and Boman bring a sense of humour even to the most tragic situations. I am sure the film will more than live up to the fantasticness of this image,” said Karan.

Bela, who is venturing into direction with “Shirin Farhad…”, says there is nothing similar to the “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” plot in her film, and that the use of the pose is just for promotional purpose.

Another such poster is still to be unveiled, but Bela refused to reveal any details about it.

“Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi” will release Aug 24. It marks Farah’s debut as an actress. (IANS)
