Police launch music video paying tribute to personnel

JOWAI: The music video of West Jaintia Hills police showing gratitude to its personnel, titled Beyond the Call of Duty – We Shall Overcome, was launched at the Conference room, SP’s office on Tuesday.
 The music video was launched by Deputy Commissioner Garod LSN Dykes.
The DC lauded the force for its efforts to combat COVID-19 especially during the period of lockdown.
He also thanked the police force and all proactive supporters from all communities in uniting together to combat the pandemic and helping to break the chain.
  The initiative was undertaken by Superintendent of Police Lakador Syiem to honour and pay tribute to the entire District Executive Force for their dedication and service in the fight against COVID-19. The SP said, “The song is attributed to all police forces for their untiring service, who have placed the public above their own safety.”
He also expressed his gratitude to all those involved in making the video.
The programme was chaired by DSP MJ Marngar, attended by Additional Superintendent Police, B Chettri and other officials.
