Dental student tests COVID-19 positive in Guwahati, tally up to 59

GUWAHATI:  One student of Regional Dental College here under Kamrup Metropolitan District   has tested COVID-19 positive taking the tally of total COVID-19 positive cases detected in the state so far to 59 including 24 active cases, 34 discharged patients and one death.
Assam Health Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma went to meet the dental student after she had been detected COVID-19 positive.at the girls’ hostel of Dental College after midnight.He also assured inmates of the  girls’ hostel of Dental College not to panic.
“These are difficult time. My duty is to give finest attention to all. Following social distance guidelines, met the girl, who tested +, at Regional Dental College at 12 30 am & assured her best care. Also requested students not to panic, ensure social distance,” State Health Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted.
