Nongpoh: The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), Ri Bhoi District, Nongpoh, has said that rice under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKY) for May has been released to the Fair Price Shops under Ri Bhoi District, only for those beneficiaries having AAY and PHH cards.
The beneficiaries can receive the rice starting Wednesday. Under PMGKY, each member from a family will be provided 5 kg of rice.
“Those households, which do not possess ration cards but their names appear in the beneficiary list provided from the office of the undersigned to the Fair Price Shops, are eligible to receive their entitlement,” a statement on Monday said.
