SHILLONG: The District Council Court of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) has opened up an online platform districtcouncilcourt@ gmail.com for urgent matters only and to ensure that people are not deprived of getting access to justice.
Addressing the press here on Wednesday, KHADC Judge S Kharsyiemlieh said that the cases will be only for extreme urgent matters.
He said that petitioners will have to justify that there is such urgency for the matters following which the District Council Court will examine it and communicate with the persons who filed the petition.
Kharsyiemlieh said that the guidelines on how to file will be issued on Friday and the online platform is a humble beginning and improvements will be made further.
As for folks who are not aware of online use, he said that the lawyers of the persons concerned will do the needful.
