SHILLONG: Health Minister A L Hek on Saturday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for announcing the Rs 20-lakh crore package to bail out the country from the stalled economy.
Hek said that the move of the prime minister would go a long way in the country’s fight against the pandemic COVID-19, adding that the package would help the migrant workers and people from different walks of life. Reacting to a query if BJP would ask for a special package for North East, Hek said that the Centre as well as the state government are utilising all resources to fight against COVID-19.
“There is no limit to spending money in our fight against the pandemic and we will utilise it from any source”, he said.
