Cement company donates safety kits to Meghalaya Police

SHILLONG: Amrit Cement has donated 1800 face shields and 9800 pairs of sterilised hand gloves to the Meghalaya Police to help its personnel combat the spread of COVID-19.
The protective face shields and the sterilised hand gloves were handed over to DGP, R Chandranathan, in Shillong.
While expressing gratitude to the cement company, the DGP said, “These face shields and hand gloves have reached us at a very crucial time and we are really thankful to Amrit Cement because these face shields will definitely encourage our police personnel to continue working hard on the frontline of this ongoing crisis and help combating the spread of this deadly disease.”
Pradeep Bagla, Managing Director of the company, said that during the time of the ongoing crisis, the men in uniform have played a pivotal role in maintaining law and order and combating the deadly disease from the frontline while the society stays safe and healthy.
