TUs oppose tweaking of labour laws

SHILLONG: In the wake of major changes being made in labour laws by several states in the country as well as the central government, the Meghalaya Joint Council of Trade Unions & Associations (MJCTU&A) has extended unequivocal support to the protests against the injustice meted out to the common people, a statement issued here said. The council, in a meeting held on Friday, resolved to raise protests against the anti-labour policies and action of these governments.
Earlier, the Meghalaya Government had also given the green signal to bring amendments to labour laws.
