SHILLONG: The Hynniewtrep National People Federation (HNPF), on Sunday urged the government not to open Iewduh and Police Bazar until all those stranded outside return to the state and are done with quarantine.
HNPF president Ronnie M Rani, in a statement issued here said many are still stuck outside the state.
The organisation pointed out that reopening of markets now can be risky.
‘Let all returnees complete quarantine period and go for tests. After they come out COVID free, only then it will be safe for markets to be opened’, they said.
