SHILLONG: KHADC Chief Executive Member (CEM) Titosstarwell Chyne has said that the Executive Committee (EC) has decided to provide financial assistance to quarantine centres run by Dorbar Shnongs falling within the jurisdiction of KHADC.
Speaking to reporters here on Monday, he said, “The EC has decided on May 22 to lend some financial assistance to the quarantine centres run by the Dorbar Shnongs”.
The recommendation for such assistance will be required to be done by a traditional head for which applications are to be submitted on or before May 30.
“The quarantine centres will be recommended by a traditional head and details have to be sent through the respective local MDC with due certification,” he said.
As for the quantum of assistance, Chyne said that it would depend on the number of persons staying in a quarantine centre, adding that the amount has to be reasonable.
