SHILLONG: A serious allegation has surfaced about supply of outdated mineral water to certain government quarantine centres.
A staff of the centre, who did not wish to be quoted, told this reporter on Wednesday “this evening, while checking, I found that on one of the bottles the expiry date was printed ‘2009’ while in other bottles it was ‘2015’”.
The 27 inmates of the centre have not been told about the expired dates.
One of the inmates, meanwhile, has been hospitalised after complaints of stomach trouble, although it could not be ascertained what caused the ailment.
