M’laya cricket body donates to CM Relief Fund

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Cricket Association on Thursday presented a cheque of rupees five-lakh towards the Meghalaya Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for COVID-19 to the Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma at his chamber at the Main Secretariat.
The MCA delegation led by Vice President Dipul R Ryntathiang, Honorary Secretary Gideon Kharkongor, Treasurer Dhrubajyoti Thakuria, Councillor Arwotki Sumer and accompanied by Naba Bhattacharjee former Honorary Secretary MCA and Convener Task Force BCCI and Rayonald Kharkamni President Ri Bhoi District Cricket Association.
The MCA Player’s Association represented by former Senior Men’s Captain Jason Lamare also handed over a cheque of rupees fifty thousand.
In July 2018, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named Meghalaya team as one of the nine new sides that would compete in domestic tournaments for the 2018–19 season, including the Ranji Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
