JOWAI: The Jaintia Students’ Union (JSU) has demanded the immediate appointment of a full-fledged Sub-Divisional School Education Officer (SDSEO) at Amlarem, Jowai and Khliehriat. JSU President, Elnathan Pale informed that all Education Officers in all civil Sub-Divisions were appointed as In-charge only and they can not perform as full-fledged Officers.
“We urge the Government to immediately appoint full-fledged Schools Education Officers for betterment of all schools and students of Jaintia Hills District”, Pale said.
According to JSU President, Education is one of most important department that regulates schools in the state and the department could not function in a proper way if there is no head of the department to look after the office.
