SHILLONG/TURA/NONGPOH: To facilitate the movement of the examinees who are appearing for Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examinations of the Science stream on Wednesday, the deputy commissioners of West Garo Hills, East Khasi Hills, West Khasi Hills and Ri Bhoi have eased the restrictions on vehicle movement under the odd and even number system for students. However, candidates will have to furnish their admit cards as proof, as and when required.
The separate notices issued by the respective deputy commissioners said that in view of the HSSLC examination to be held on June 10, and in order to facilitate the movement of students appearing for the exam, who do not have an ‘odd number’ registration plate (registration number ending with 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9), candidates appearing for the exams may utilise vehicles with registration number ending with an even number, if required, on Wednesday. In Tura town, hundreds of students will be appearing for the exam, where the odd-even system for movement of vehicles has been in force since the lockdown was eased.
