NGO helps NE people in Delhi

NEW DELHI: The Indian New Life Society, an NGO devoted to the North East, organised a relief camp for persons affected due to COVID-19 and ongoing lockdown in the national capital.
The NGO, under its social welfare programme, distributed dry food packets to the people of North East living in the area. The packets included rice, sugar, oil, pulses, masala and vegetables, which were given to many migrant workers of the region as well.
The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. KC George, Director of National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development, Ministry of Women and Child welfare, president of the NGO Jihosuya Jena said in a statement on Saturday.
During the camp, the organisation also created awareness about the pandemic.
