Ri Bhoi road works to resume soon

Nongpoh: Local legislator of Nongpoh Mayralborn Syiem on Wednesday said the road construction work in Ri Bhoi, which witnessed a halt in view of COVID-19 pandemic, will resume soon.
Syiem, who was accompanied by Nongpoh MDC Balajied Rani, Mawhati MDC Charles Marngar besides other officials from the PWD department, said this after inspecting few locations of Umden in Ri Bhoi.
It may be mentioned that the under-construction roads under PMGSY scheme include Umden to Mawlong (10-km stretch), Umden to Umrang (8-km stretch), Umjari to Umtrai connecting (5.5-km stretch).
Marngar, on the other hand, expressed his gratitude to the initiative taken by the legislator, and said the initiative will surely benefit the people in the constituency.
