Police are investigating

after Juno star Ellen

Page received death threats on Twitter. The Los Angeles police department has sent a search warrant to the site demanding information after the actress received multiple threatening tweets back in June.

The messages, which have since been deleted, threatened to ‘murder’ Page.

Accroding to the search warrant, seen by website TMZ, another said: ‘Ellen Page if you continue to date Alexander [Skarsgard] I will K-1-L-L you in public in the next year… Be it in a club, at a game, in a restaurant, or when you’re signing autographs.’

According to the department a ‘worrying’ phone call was also made to the non-profit organisation behind the LA Film Festival, which was hosting the premiere of the 25-year-old’s new film.

Hard Candy star Ellen and True Blood star Alexander, 35, met when they starred together in upcoming film The East, which they filmed over winter.

The two were seen together watching the LA Kings in June, but have not confirmed they are an item. (Agencies)
