Exams postponed not cancelled: Assam University

GUWAHATI: Assam University, Silchar has termed reports circulating in a section of the media about cancellation of the university’s examinations in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, as “misleading and untrue”.

In an official notification on Tuesday, the institution clarified that the Post-Graduate, Under-Graduate, Integrated Courses and Semester examinations, earlier scheduled to be held during July 2020, have been postponed until further notification.

“The university has only postponed the examination until further orders. Refrain may be exercised while posting or circulating such news without proper authentication,” it stated in the notification.
