CBI counsel apprised of coal petition

SHILLONG: The advocate of Abdul Ahad Choudhary, who had filed a petition before the High Court of Meghalaya for CBI probe into coal mining, has apprised the CBI standing counsel regarding the matter.
In a letter, the advocate referred to the petition and the need for CBI inquiry into the coal trade.
Earlier, after the state government had challenged the order of the Meghalaya Lokayukta for a CBI probe into illegal coal mining, the matter came up for hearing in the court but the case is still pending.
