FKJGP demands blood bank to function at Nongstoin Civil Hospital

SHILLONG:   The FKJGP West Khasi Hills District has demanded that the blood bank at  Nongstoin Civil Hospital be made operational given that the building has already been completed .

In a statement issued here, information secretary, Nicky Marwein recalled that they had submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister Conrad Sangma  on two occasions on his visit to the district head quarter in the year 2018 and 2019  urging him to open the blood bank which was completed but not yet open or function till now.
Marwein said that operation of patients and pregnant mothers were being done in the hospital every week without blood bank  facility.
