AR promotes bicycles as vehicle of fitness

SHILLONG: The Assam Rifles has set up a bicycle kiosk at its Laitkor Garrison (Shillong), which was inaugurated on Saturday by Lt Gen Sukhdeep Sangwan.
The Assam Rifles has been actively contributing to ‘Fit India Movement’ by organising a variety of fitness activities in the Northeastern states, a release said.
The occasion was marked by a cycle rally by the officers of HQ DGAR within the garrison premises.
Addressing the officers, the DG encouraged them to spread the message of positivity and fitness by indulging in activities like cycling without letting the guard down against ongoing pandemic.
