Assam CM orders probe into Janata Bhawan fire

GUWAHATI:  Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has ordered probe into Tuesday night’s fire incident at B Block of Janata Bhawan in Dispur and entrusted the G D Laskar, Secretary of General Administration Department (GAD) to conduct the probe.

The Chief Minister also directed setting up of a 24×7 control room in Janata Bhawan premises to deal with such hazards including fire. He also directed installation of single electrical main switch in each of the blocks in Janata Bhawan to control the electrical circuits.
