Tourists’ cabs used to bring people for COVID tests in Shillong

SHILLONG:  Meghalaya government has intensified testing for COVID-19 in Shillong agglomeration to arrest spread of the virus. The government  hired services of private tourists’ cabs on Wednesday to bring suspected persons from various localities to collect  their swab samples for COVID-19 tests.

The drivers of these tourists vehicles have been provided with PPE kits for ferrying people  to hospitals for undergoing tests for COVID-19. Each of these vehicles carry two persons each in the interests of maintaining social distance..
