Blood donation camp
The Meghalaya Pradesh youth congress in collaboration with the Meghalaya AIDS control society and NEIGHRIMS (Licensed Blood Bank) is going to organise a blood donation camp in view of the 68th birth anniversary of (L) Rajiv Gandhi at MPYC office, Re-Do-Ria cottage, MG Road-adjacent to Gauhati High Court, Shillong Bench from 9AM onwards on Monday.

Tree plantation
The BSF on Saturday organised a tree plantation at Umpling and Mawpat with a pledge to ensure the protection and preservation of ecology and to prevent its degradation. All officers, men and their families took part in the tree plantation.
Competition
The BSF Senior Secondary School on Friday organised debate, painting and sketch, essay writing (English and Hindi) and fancy dress competition followed by a cultural programme at the school premises here in the city. A children’s rally was also held by the school from Umpling to Rynjah showcasing the various environment problems and our responsibilities in conserving it.
Accident
Khlurstep Nongrang (35) riding a motorbike sustained injuries after he fell off when the two wheeler went into a drain on the side of the road at Nongthymmai near Rani Motor on Saturday morning.
