MAWKYRWAT: Students from different parts of Ranikor Civil Sub-Division, especially those from remote areas, have been facing hurdles to get access to online classes due to irregularity of electricity supply and lack of proper internet connectivity.
Organiser of the Ranikor Youth Congress, Vincent T Sangma, on Sunday expressed concern about the problems faced by the students from different parts of Ranikor Civil Sub-Division like Maheshkola, Khonjoy, Nongjri, Ranikor and Balat.
Stating that not everyone can afford smartphones in rural areas, he urged the government to immediately look into the issue for the benefit of the students.
Sangma also expressed concern about the functioning of the Khonjoy PHC, alleging non-availability of doctors, nurses and ambulance at most times.
“This has brought a lot of problems for the people of the area, especially for pregnant women, who need regular medical check-up,” he said.
