SHILLONG: A complete lockdown of Shella is going to be enforced on July 28 to prevent any public gathering during the commemoration of the first death anniversary of former chief minister Donkupar Roy who served the area for over 25 years as their elected representative.
The Shella Dorbar Shnong on Saturday took this decision in view of the current COVID-19 situation. The lockdown is aimed at preventing any spread of the virus infection.
The Dorbar Shnong has urged its residents to not venture out from their localities and have specifically informed its residents to not enter Sohlap with the exception of the sick.
