Night curfew in EKH; interstate movement prohibited

SHILLONG: East Khasi Hills District Magistrate has promulgated night curfew in the district beginning July 30 up to August 3 between 9 pm and 5 am.
The order in this regard was passed on Wednesday.
It said curfew passes can be obtained via online application at www.east-khasihills.gov.in.
Another order has prohibited interstate movement and any assembly whatsoever, and while enforcing this every individual to mandatorily maintain social distancing, wear masks and follow respiratory etiquette besides other protocols without fail in the district with effect from July 30 up to August 3 between 5 am to 9 pm each day.
East Khasi Hills DC Matsiewdor War Nongbri has informed that arrangements made for opening of shops at Iewduh will continue, until further orders.
The DC also informed that identified shops operating from fixed premises will open as scheduled from 8 am to 8 pm in Shillong Urban Agglomeration for areas falling under Police Bazaar, GS Road from Khyndailad to Motphran, Keating Road, Jail Road, Motphran, Anjalee Point, Mawlonghat, Iew Mawlong, Cantonment, retail shops of Jeep Stand, Garikhana and Paltan Bazaar.
However, cyber cafes, gaming parlours, jackpot parlours and lottery counters will remain closed till further orders.
This order will not apply to areas falling under Police Bazaar, G. S Road (from Kyndailad to Motphran), Keating Road, Jail Road, Motphran, Jhalupara, Mawbah, Barapathar, Anjalee Point, Mawlonghat, Iew Mawlong, Cantonment, Jeep Stand, Garikhana, Paltan Bazaar and Iewduh.
