TURA: Cases of sexual assault continue to emerge in the Garo Hills region with another case being reported where a 60-year-old man allegedly raped his grand niece in a village near Garobadha.
The accused, Ram Buri Barman, hailing from Zekabari village had visited the 9-year-old’s home during on Friday and perpetrated the crime.
He was caught after the girl alerted her family about the attack on her.
The accused, who happens to be the father-in-law of the victim’s uncle, was then arrested by police on the same evening.
