SHILLONG: A Directorate of AYUSH will come up in Meghalaya as a proposal in this regard was cleared by the Centre.
Health Minister A L Hek said after the Centre approved the project, the health department has sought allotment of land for the construction of infrastructures for the AYUSH directorate.
The focus will be on Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy.
The Meghalaya Health minister said that the Union AYUSH ministry has also agreed in principle to sanction 13 of the 19 AYUSH health and wellness centres for Meghalaya proposed during 2019-20.
