TURA: North Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner SC Sadhu, in an order, has banned the sale of bottled correcting fluids and thinner in the district.
The order, besides bottled correcting fluids, prohibits the sale of bottled thinners of any chemical composition both for ink erasing purposes as well as nail polish removers and other similar products, violation of which will invite action under section 188 of the IPC.
Meanwhile, in a separate order, the DC also denotified Berubari (Darakona) village as a place for exchange of all kinds of goods and commodities adding that the same will not have any kind of bazaar or market.
“In view of COVID-19 situation, Berubari (Darakona) has been notified to exchange arecanut and other agri-horti produce on Assam-Meghalaya border. All kutcha structures will be demolished except few shops which were there before notifying the place for exchange of areca nut,” the order by the DC read.
