NONGSTOIN: A case of assault has come to the fore where one Jumbor Rngaid (42) of New Nongstoin was assaulted with a machete at Porjalem near Nongstoin District Jail on Monday.
One Stralding Lyngkhoi (53), suspected for committing the assault, has also been detained by the police as a suspect. However, the reason that led to the assault has not yet been verified.
Meanwhile, the victim sustained injuries on the right side of his face and has been referred to Shillong.
